welcome amos!

Such a sweet edition to this perfect family, meet Amos.  If you follow the blog, you may remember watching his big brother Levi grow from an infant to one year old not that long ago!  Amos made his arrival in March and  a few days later, I made my arrival to0 to photograph the little man and new family of five:) I always love my visits with Julie, Jon + crew.  Mom and dad are always so relaxed and make me feel right at home.  Big sis Esther didn’t want me to take too many pictures for fear that we would miss out on play time with her;) I did manage to read a book or two to she and Levi while Amos took a little break..doing so I realized I need to work on my “character voices.”  I’m kind of out of practice!

Amos is such a beautiful baby.  Bright eyes and so alert….Julie told me that his blonde hair is a little hard to get used to since both Esther and Levi were born with full heads of dark hair!

Levi has taken his role of big brother very seriously.  Julie joked that he’s a little too helpful at times;) He wanted to be sure Amos had his hat on just right!

Oh my, what a character!  Love these of all five of them!

Julie and Jon, thanks as always for letting me be a part of your lives in this way.  I am always overwhelmed by the love within your home….it’s almost tangible!  So happy for all of you-what a blessing Amos is!

gabe, mackenzie, zeb and sadie

These four are always entertaining:) Siblings Gabe and Mackenzie along with siblings Zeb and Sadie make up the cousins Schaadt.  I always adore these four when they get together.  Gabe and Mackenzie live in Canada and during their last two summer visits to Indiana, I have had the pleasure of hanging out with them for an evening.  There is SO much personality in this group and honestly, they lead the show and I’m lucky just to keep up:)

The always adorable Sadie above…and her sweet cousins Gabe and Mackenzie below.

Zeb and his missing front teeth crack me up;) I loved when my kids had this exact smile!

Because isn’t this how we REALLY are with our siblings;)

I’m still prepping to blog so many seniors from this past year and when I begin to write each post, I keep having the same thought…..I photograph some of the most beautiful people.  Yes, physical beauty if easily recognized and yes, they ARE SO BEAUTIFUL in that regard….but I am talking about the good stuff…the stuff on the inside.  I’m not kidding, these kids are so much more than I ever even thought of being in high school.  They’re kind and considerate;  they treat me with respect but still have fun too.  They’re such good people.  I am excited to see what the future has in store for each of them.

Hannah came along with her mom with an attitude of “do whatever you want” and so we did!  Hannah has an amazing smile and was a joy to work with-I think all these episodes of Top Model these girls watch pay off…they just know what to do;)

Oh my goodness.  Seriously.  I am so jealous of those perfect teeth:D

Hello, gorgeous girl!  I swear, she can’t take a bad photograph!

Hannah, I LOVED our evening together!  Thanks so much:)

welcome graham!

I photographed Graham’s 3 month session a week ago…and just today I realized I hadn’t shared these!!!  Graham is the newest addition to the Colclasure household..and little brother to Deyton who I believe was my very  FIRST weeds baby:) Over Deyton’s first year, I always enjoyed my girl chat visits sessions spent comparing stories of mommy-hood with Kelly.  When she told me they were expecting boy #2, I was so excited for their growing family….and maybe a little excited too about adding our afternoon visits back into my calendar for the next year;)

At first glance, I was convinced that Graham looked just like his big brother did at birth….but he’s changed so much in the last three months! The definitely look like brothers, but also very different from each other.

Love this family shot of Kelly and Seth with their boys:)

Deyton is now two…and VERY active!  He was all about jumping on the bed (after I told him it was OK!).  Now, getting him to sit close to his little brother was a bit more of a challenge;)

His sleepy little smirk and dimpled chin:)

Kelly had the request during Deyton’s first year to photograph him at every session with Dad’s basketball…it’s a great way to show how much they have grown!  We wanted to do it again with Graham and couldn’t believe he actually let us do this….

Kelly (and Seth;)), thanks so much for opening up your home and once again sharing your beautiful children with me.  I am honored to be a part of their first year and as always love my visits with you;)

Oh these images make me smile:) Last fall Taylor and myself (along with Taylor’s bestie and Mom) drove around the tiny village of Willshire for her session.  I grew up in that tiny village and it still feels a little like home.  I think we literally ran into at least two of my family members while walking around!  Taylor’s dad grew up here too so it was fun to make random stops here and there, starting at her dad’s barn outside of town and making our way to her Grandparents place just down the road from my childhood home.

I remember the day being very overcast and breezy….not a bad combination for a girl with a killer smile and gorgeous hair!  Taylor was a natural and we chatted the night away with only one minor mishap along the way….Dad’s beloved car wouldn’t start that night so we couldn’t take it to the location Taylor wanted for images.  More on that in a minute!

Loved her in this red dress…such a pretty color for her!  And she worked it like a rock star for me:)

You may remember this car from Kylee and Luke’s Wedding….you guessed it.  Small towns where everyone knows everyone and is more than likely connected;) Since we couldn’t get the car to come to us…we decided to go to the car and make it work!  I think it was a blessing in disguise that we had to do so:)

Thank you, thank you, Taylor for the adventure:) Enjoy your last few days as a high school student–and have a fabulous summer!!!!!
